Ratsada is a sub-district (tambon) in the southern portion of Phuket Province, Thailand. It is one of eight sub-districts in the capital district Mueang Phuket.

Monkey Hill
North of Phuket Town is the city’s highest hill, and its name is to be taken literally. Populated by thousands of macaques that are all now used to entertaining and harassing tourists for treats, the hill has nevertheless managed to remain on of the most popular recreational areas around. At the bottom of the hill you’ll see three shrines where people pray for success at the lottery. There’s a park halfway up. And though there is a viewpoint on top, the occasional views on the way up are better. The only time the top is better is during sunset. The hill is quite a steep climb if you are walking. Check out of the Green Forest restaurant which has opened up close to the bottom of the hill. The road up to the top is closed to traffic after 5 pm and the hill is significantly steep and can be difficult to climb for people with injuries or low bone strength.
The cost of living is extremely inexpensive, for example, the total cost needed to get by for a month in this district is about 20,000 Baht. The prices of properties too are on the higher side than as seen in other areas but cheaper pieces of property can be found towards the outskirts of the district. Whereas if you choose to live near the locations like Kishinchand Chellaram College, the prices have been seen to go up a bit. The properties in this district are not that old and of sturdy build. The scope of buying a piece of land is also there and allows you to construct your own house as you desire.

If you’re a fan of houses you must consider the villas for rent in this district available for rent with prices ranging from 7,000 to 25,600 Baht for rent depending on the size, type and location of the property.
The option of paying monthly rentals isn’t the most ideal way if you’re settling down for longer periods of time. With rent prices of townhouses varying from 15,000 to around 25,000 Baht for rent if you’re looking to stay near the district’s main area that is nearer to the transport options and various other amenities.
