Nonthaburi is a province in Thailand that is located in the central region of the country. It is one of the seventy-six provinces that are found in Thailand. The province of Nonthaburi was established by the same act that came to effect on May 9th 1946 with the following provinces Changwat Samut Prakan, Changwat Nonthaburi, Changwat Samut Sakhon and Changwat Nakhon Nayok. The province is divided into six districts which are then further divided into fifty-two sub districts and four hundred and thirty-two villages. The province is also known for its production of the best Durians in the country as the very name of the fruit (Durian Non) suggests that it comes from the Nonthaburi province.
