How is Aow Leuk, Koh Tao Real Estate Market?
The Koh Tao real estate market is known for its flexibility and incredible adventure possibilities and thus, it appeals to all kinds of people from bachelors to nuclear families alike. The properties in this island are remarkably fine planned to suit all requirements of the individual staying. Villas for rent are available for the start cost of 18,000 to 75,000 Baht depending on the location, size, number of bedroom and the option to have a sea view from the property. is if you choose to live near the Koh Tao beach the price maybe even higher. Whereas the rent can drop up if you are willing to move a little further from the main area.
The scenery here is stunning. With the white sandy beach and the water varying shades of blue, and Shark Island in the background, Aow Leuk is one of the most popular sites for snorkelling and is amongst the most beautiful places on Koh Tao. There is a coral reef on both sides of the bay and it begins right off the beach in the shallows. You don’t have to go very far at all to see an abundance of marine life. The large sandy sea floor makes it ideal for swimming and lounging in the water and it is used a lot for diver training.
Twice a year at Aow Leuk, baby blacktip reef sharks can be seen in the shallows here, a perfect nursery environment for them. The adults are found further out, about 400-500 metres from the beach, off the north shore. If you are feeling energetic, you can swim along the south shore to the next bay, Hin Ngam, which is about 600 metres from the beach. This is a beautiful spot for snorkelling with easy, calm conditions for most of the year.
One of the most beautiful bays on Koh Tao with a great sandy beach and a large swimming pool-like bay. It is a fairly secluded bay, but easy to get to, being just a 30 minute walk from Mae Haad. Aow Leuk means ‘deep bay’ and is named for its deep, concave shape.
As well as the depth of the water which makes it good for snorkelling even at very low tide.
There is an entrance fee of a hundred Baht which you would have to pay before entering the beach but you also get a complementary mocktail for that.
